Memorial Day 2012
We spent this memorial day in Arizona! It was so nice to be home spending time with family. It was nice to see my sisters, we don't get to see one another near enough. I seriously wish we lived closer to one another. It was a short trip but we were so glad we went. Here are some pictures from our trip!

A Good Life Lesson.....
Sometimes I feel anxious. I tend to worry about things that I cannot control...I tend to worry about how people feel about me...I need to become a little bit thicker skinned. Coaching high school softball I have definately realized.....I NEED to become thicker skinned. I have realized I will never be able to please everyone. Here's the thing...I stand by every decision I have made! I have no qualms with how i've handled certain situations.. have I learned a few things...ABSOLUTELY!, are there things i won't do again.....ABSOLUTELY! But, I am here to do good, I am trying to do good, I am hoping to instill good qualities in these girls while also helping them become excellent softball players. Why is it that people so often lose sight of what is truly important? It's funny, as I was thinking about these people who have a "confllict" with me, I realized that while they think they are upset with me, I believe they are upset with life circumstances. As I have truly reflected on this situation, I can honestly say that I was fair, I handled the situation the best I knew how, and my intentions were good and that is all I can do, so if this person chooses to dislike me....that is NOT my burden to bear. I cannot, all I can do is the best I can and I truly try to treat each girl with respect and kindness. All I can do is continue to get better. I will continue to learn and grow as a person and as a coach. I'm sure I will make mistakes, but I will learn from them and move forward and I will continue to do the best I can. SO....today I am "walking away" and focusing on the things that are important in life!

Mothers Day
"All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother." -- Abraham Lincoln
I learned what I know about motherhood from my mom. I have a great mom. A mom who loves me indefinatley. She has always been there for me. Regardless of where life took me, one thing I always knew was that my mom loved me. I hope that my children will feel the same way about me. She constantly has been a beacon of support. She was at every softball game, even driving endless hours to be there. She is my greatest friend, you never outgrow the need for your mom. I hope to be half the mother she is to me! I'm grateful that I get to call her mom!
This Mothers day was great! I am grateful for this privelage that is mine, that of being a mother. Heavenly Father blessed me with this sweet little girl who has forever changed my life.
I cried when I found out I was pregnant. They weren't tears of joy (although I was happy..) I was terrified. What on earth was I going to do with a baby? I was selfish. Concerned about the ways she would change my life. That feeling soon passed and I was overwhelmed by what this all meant. I was so excited and anxious to meet this new baby. The first time I got to hold her, was the best moment of my life. As soon as I saw her I just knew I had the cutest baby in the whole world ;) I immediately loved her, and have grown to love her in a way that I could never imagine. I think that love comes through the selfless acts that come with being a mother. It gets to a point when you are no longer concerned about the late night feedings or loss of sleep because you love this little person more than you could love anything.. Since Tenley has come into my life I am a better person. I have learned things about myself that I would have never learned otherwise. It is truly an unbelievable responsibility. One that I cherish. This girl makes me smile everyday and I am grateful she is mine!
