A Big Birthday and Christmas 2013

Tenley turned 2!  I can't even believe it.  My little baby is disappearing before my eyes and is turning into the sweetest, sassiest, bossiest, funniest little girl we know.  She is so smart.  She can count to 11 ;) and knows a good portion of the ABC's!  She talks like an adult and uses big words for a two year old.  She got some pretty awesome gifts!

 Grandma and Grandpa Thomas got Tenley a Minnie mouse kitchen, frosty (the movie)  she is obsessed with it!  Grandma and Grandpa Nix got her an awesome Minnie Mouse 4-wheeler.  She thinks she is pretty cool.  Cooper got her a Jake and the Neverland Pirates table (another favorite show) and Kelli got her a Minnie Mouse Vacuum.  (what can I say the girl knows what she likes)  Tyler and I got her some blocks and a little laptop!  We were supposed to go to Chuck E. Cheese but the weather was crazy so we decided to have a little get together at Tyler's parents.  She was really happy with all of her toys! 

We also had a really fun Christmas.  We had a great month really.  We visited family, saw Christmas lights, saw Santa's Reindeer, sat on Santa's lap (hated it), and got way way way too many toys!

Good Weather in November!

We took advantage of the nice weather in November.  It was un seasonally warm and we loved that we could play outside.

We went to Twin Falls for Thanksgiving!  My Mom and Dad were able to come up and we spent the day at Cort and Heath's house!  We had a great day!  Tyler and Tenley in the car at an awesome pizza place called Gerdy's!  Tenley loved playing with her cousins.  They jumped on the trampoline and had the best time!  We sure do love those cousins!

October Happenings

October was pretty exciting for us!  We bought our first home!  I LOVE this house.  I loved it the minute I saw it.  I thought it was so cute and had so much charm.  It is definitely an older home that needs a lot of work but that was enticing to me.  It was originally built in 1910 and still has some of the old adobe walls. I also love the big yard with lots of space to run around! We stripped out all of the old carpet and put in new and painted all the walls.  We have big plans for this house and can't wait to see how it changes.

We went on the annual deer hunt out to West Canyon with the family.  We had a great time and Ty shot an awesome deer.  I got to go with him.  I like hanging out with that guy;)  Tenley really liked the deer.  She kept saying that she shot a deer.  She also loves attention and anyone who stopped by the tent she insisted on talking to.  She is very outgoing and not shy at all. 

Tenley was Minnie Mouse for Halloween!  She LOVES Minnie Mouse.  She goes through phases where she obsesses with shows.  She doesn't want to watch anything else.  It started with Yo Gabba Gabba when she was younger.  I am so glad we have moved on from that. ;)  She was the cutest little Minnie I have ever seen.  We went to Grandma Lori's and got all sorts of treats.  Grandpa gave her a little tractor and Grandma had a bag full of goodies and a little stuffed animal to love on.

5 years!

Ty and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary.  I honestly can't believe how quickly 5 years has gone by.  I hit the jack pot when I met this guy.  He is hardworking, loving, thoughtful, an amazing dad, and can do pretty much anything.  We have had it pretty good over the last 5 years.  Tyler told me that "the first five were pretty good, so he would stick with it for another 5 and then re-evaluate" haha.   We went to Outback Steakhouse for a yummy dinner.  It is always nice to spend time alone with this guy! Happy Anniversary!  This picture is one of our engagement pictures.  Apparently, I forgot to take a picture of us that night.

Grandpa

In September my Grandpa "Jack" passed away.  This was a hard time for me.  My Grandpa was an amazing man.  He was funny, and loving, and always made you feel important.  I have so many wonderful memories of my Grandpa and I am grateful for the time I had with him.  I was blessed to be able to visit him before he passed and talk with him for a time.  He held my hand and told me to make sure to make as good of memories with my family as we all had together.  He told me he had the best memories of his family, a lot of good times.  I will always cherish that moment. 

I am grateful for the plan of Salvation.  I know that I will see my Grandpa again some day.  It is important to me that I live righteously and do everything I can to ensure that we will all be together one day.  I am so blessed to be apart of an eternal family.

End of Summer

In August made a trip to Arizona to visit with family.  I have the best family around!  It is always fun to be with my sisters.  We all went to crossfit together got some pretty good laughs!

 

September was a busy month for us. We basically tried to suck up every little bit of warmth that was left. We visited the zoo with friends and learned that gorillas are pretty much disgusting creatures.

 

We spent a lot of time outside soaking up the sun.  We even picked wildflowers.
